Introducing Dubuque Chiropractor Dr. Jeff Stackis

I didn't experience a miracle, but I've seen them!

As a child, I saw my older brother suffer from terrible allergies. His eyes were always red and bloodshot and his nose was either running constantly or stuffed from medications given by his medical doctor. Simply put, he was miserable. After several years of suffering something wonderful happened. A friend of his convinced him to see a chiropractor! What follows has literally changed the lives of hundreds of people including my own.

Dr. Jeff StackisMy brother went to a chiropractor and finally got relief. It worked so well that  he chose to become a chiropractor himself. This experience was the inspiration that led me to a career in chiropractic as well.

The majority of my pre-chiropractic education was completed at the University of Iowa. I then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and graduated in 1993. After practicing in central Iowa and southern California I returned to my roots and in 1996 opened Stackis Chiropractic right here in Dubuque.

We love helping people! Whether it's an ache or pain that is disrupting your day or a health challenge that feels like it's taking over your life. We want to help you achieve the highest quality of life possible.

My wife Linda and I were born and raised right here in Dubuque. In fact, we went to the same kindergarten and high school together. Years later we met up and started dating. At that time Linda had been suffering for years with horrible headaches. They were so bad they would bring tears to her eyes. She would often have to lay down for hours until she got relief. She had tried medications but they only worked some of the time and the headaches seemed to always return. Linda then started getting chiropractic adjustments and since then rarely gets even mild headaches and hasn't taken any medications.

Linda also works with me in the office and shares my passion for helping others. Sometimes you just know things were meant to be!

I also have a wonderful son, Sky. He enjoys soccer, basketball and video games as well as swimming and hanging out at the pool with his friends.

I workout regularly and am particularly passionate about playing and following basketball. Going to the movies with my wife and son, playing a game or relaxing with a good book are also things I enjoy.

Thank you for visiting our site. I truly feel we've been blessed with the opportunity  to help people with a variety of health challenges and goals.(see Patient Testimonials page) Will you let us help you?

Dr. Jeff Asks some important questions of interest to Dubuque residents - Chiropractor Dubuque Dr. Jeff Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
